The Lair of the Movie Man - Reviews, Previews, Blogs, and More

  Due to audio issues, we will return with not one but Two MarvelChats this weekend as Ryan and I discuss episodes four and five (aka the penultimate episode) of “Ms. Marvel”. As the backstory comes to a close, a new much greater threat arises which poses new questions. Be there when we talk about everything the two episodes had to offer, and the things we wished more of because these were very short. Oh well, now we can finally sit back and watch as the Marvel Scooby Gang reunite for the finale, and the ultimate lead -in to next summer’s (and full stem ahead for next week’s Comic Con) “The Marvels”

 This week my pal Ryan & I discuss the fourth episode of Ms. Marvel. We’re two episodes away from the finale, and we’re going to break down what it means for Kamala’s backstory and figuring out her identity in order to combat the newest threat. We’ll also talk about the shocker of an ending and what will happen from this point on. We’ll be on YouTube and be premiering this on here the second after the video drops on YouTube, but please leave comments in the discussion on your take at where the series will go from there with the final two episodes (as well as anything you liked/didn’t like about this episode).

  MarvelChats will return this weekend with a discussion on not one, but TWO episodes of “Ms. Marvel” as we look ahead to the mid-season as we provide our own thoughts on everything that’s happened and maybe what’s to come as the series reaches its halfway point and the unanswered question the final three episodes may bring an answer to.   Updated with link

It’s almost here!!! Saturday will be the official first of our second year of “MarvelChats” where we’re gonna talk about the premiere episode of “Ms. Marvel”. The main characters of “Once” and the movie itself is kind of like that; instead of politics, though, they take about music. The film is set in Ireland, and tells the week-long friendship of a boy (Glen Hansard) and a girl (Markéta Irglovâ) and their love for music. I’m not kidding, those are really their character names. BAND OF ROBBERS  Running time: 95 minutes Rated: Not Rated Theatrical Release Date: January 15, 2016 ”Band of Robbers” is, by all means, an updated re-telling of two of the most celebrated works by legendary author Mark Twain. The concept itself is may be familiar to some, but it somewhat succeeds thanks to its outlandish brand of quackish behavior. Even the film itself starts with a quote from Twain himself, which showcases the brand of humor itself.  Brothers Aaron and Nee have taken the characters of both Huckleberry Finn and Tom Sawyer and reworked them into a plot that even Twain himself would be proud of. Huckleberry Finn (Kyle Gallner) is a free-spirited convict released from a prison stint, and attempts at making a descent effort into following straight.
